Intelligence and Analysis School

In addition to our bespoke training services we are now providing a range of intelligence and analysis related courses through the IMSL School. The concept is simple, we provide a set menu of courses on scheduled dates at our HQ training facility and other locations internationally.

These are intense, high quality, high utility, professional courses designed and delivered by true subject matter experts. Intended for public sector, government, law enforcement, military, academic and corporate users with significant organisational imperatives, the training represents leading practice in each of the subjects presented.

All IMSL Intelligence Analysis courses conform to the UK Government approved National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Intelligence Analysis.  These statements of the standards of performance individuals must achieve when carrying out functions in the workplace, provide the benchmark for intelligence analysis training. Our instructors have a proven track record in the public and private sectors and retain roles supporting government agencies in their various intelligence disciplines.

The courses fall into two categories:

  • Open Courses, which are not linked to any specific enterprise software platforms; these will be useful to anyone interested in the subject.
  • Palantir Gotham Courses, which are intended for users of that specific intelligence software platform.

IMSL also offers training courses tailored to the needs of individual clients and covering a wider range of subjects but that provison is managed seperately from the School system; so please enquire if you have requirements outside of this current menu of courses.

  • ‘The course was comprehensive and delivered by highly experienced and engaging instructors.  They were able to impart both a broad understanding of the workings of the intelligence community and considerable detail of the role of the intelligence analyst.  The exercises helped consolidate the principles learned in the lessons’.

  • ‘I believe IMSL's Intelligence Analysis course provided a comprehensive view of the processes and protocols that compose the duties of an intelligence analyst, while also providing insight into both the lesser known challenges and best practices that continue to evolve with the role. I found the material to be expansive without sacrificing appropriate depth, and attribute this in large part to the impressive knowledge-base of the subject matter experts. Their dynamic presentation style promoted a highly engaging session from start to finish, which I believe helped me to achieve and surpass my own personal knowledge objectives’.
